Bio: Raised in West New York, NJ, Kathy completed high school in Miami, FL, then attended NYU where she focused on playwriting. Upon graduation, she moved to North Dakota, earned her M.A. in English from UND where she currently teaches in English and Women Studies. She has written over a dozen plays, saw the publicatin of her first novel, Wannabe, in 2000 (angelfire.com/nd/wannabe ), and is now writing screenplays. Her script "Shrimp Po'Boy" has been recognized by both Sundance Screenwriting Program and the Nicholl's Fellowship in 2002. Her personal essays appear in nationally marketed anthologies such as Chocolate for a Woman's Soul. She looks forward to hearing from students and colleges who are interested in performing contemporary pieces which are both socially conscious and humorous.
