I was present at a reading of this play in the eighties and the meal prepared by Brandon for Buckman was lambchops. In a later performance on Theatre Row Theatre the dish was carrot soup. Much better choice in my opinion. Carrot soup is so much more subtle. *** In the second production I saw the Rolling Stones song Wild Horses was playing as the play ended and it was a powerful and unforgettable ending.
