The Land of Little Horses is the story of three sisters—Evelyn, Jessica, and Jean Louise—and their Aunt Dot. Evelyn is engaged to the well-intentioned, but occasionally clueless Charles. Jessica is dating an entrepreneur from Italy, and Jean Louise and Dot have decided to run away from home and follow a sport that has become their newfound passion: miniature horse racing. Their absence serves as a catalyst for Evelyn and Jessica and forces a confrontation between them and their visiting mother, Laura.
