Exciting adventure stories for children are hard to find, but this fascinating adaptation of the Johann Wyss classic is a perfect play for youngsters everywhere. You travel with the shipwrecked Robinson family to a deserted island, inhabited only by a number of interesting animals. The family works together to build their home, only to be threatened by pirates and finally rescued by a friendly ship. There's plenty of action, a fine musical score, and a story designed to be staged as simply (or elaborately) as your budget allows.
