Heidi Janz
The play examines the lives of two severely disabled teenagers in a post-Tracy-Latimer society. While striving to maintain an even-handed portrayal of the circumstances which can lead to such a tragedy, the play seeks to counteract a general tendency in the media to portray these disabled young people only as burdens to their families and to society, rather than as valuable human beings with the capacity to enrich the lives of others.
