Resolution Revolution
Author(s):
Jon Mikkelsen
Tall Tale Tex is madder than a bronco with a burr under its saddle, as irate as a rattlesnake in a stew, more rankled than a bull that's missed the stampede... well, he's very upset. He has just found out his radio show might be replaced by cool-cat Ozzie's popular program. Plus, both stars think they should be on the cover of the station's magazine. The fur's about to fly when Ozzie's friend, Brooke, steps in and sends him traveling back through his nine lives to meet some experts in conflict. Romeo and Juliet's relatives, the Three Musketeers (minus one) and Hollywood film makers, Fern and Alex, show Ozzie how conflicts start and how they can be resolved. He also discovers how make-believe violence is different from real-life violence. Now Ozzie must use his new problem solving skills to make peace with Tex. This innovative play with three optional songs emphasizes avoiding violence and introduces several alternatives for resolving conflicts.
