Force of Circumstance
Author(s):
Ann Lambert
When David and Linda, a Montreal couple in their late 30's, witness a hold-up at their corner "depanneur", their lives are changed forever. David wants to forget the whole incident, but Linda wants the owner brought to justice for shooting and killing the young Black woman who held him up. When Linda insists on testifying, against David's wishes, their private struggle mirrors an equally explosive public battle.
