Switched at the Crossroads
or... Truth Will Oust Author(s):
John Healy
SWITCHED AT THE CROSSROADS tells the age-old story of the mortgage on the farm, the wicked villain, the staunch hero, the virtuous heroine, the hard working farmer and his wife, plus the rustic comic maid and local sheriff, but with a special new twist. John Healy couldn't be content with the conventional format for melodramas... so the hero turns out to be the villain and the villain is the hero after the story of their being "Switched at the Crossroads" as babies is revealed. The "pure as the driven snow" ingenue turns out to be a Secret Service Agent, and the happy squirrel playing in the yard is her outside contact. Healy's humor is never better than in this charming melodrama.
