Vicky
Dramatized by Phyllis Vernick. Author(s):
H.H. Saki Munro
Here's a new approach to Saki's story, The Open Window, which brings a special freshness to it. Vicky is a teenage girl with a lively imagination. She's home alone when Humphrey Hubert, a hypochondriac, arrives from the city. When he asks Vicky to close all the doors, she tells him that a few months ago Mr. Bland went out those doors and never returned. Mrs. Bland, believing he will return, wants the doors open all the time. When the Blands suddenly return, Humphrey is terrified and runs off. As the curtain comes down, Vicky tells them the strange story of Humphrey Hubert. One int. set.
