The Love Life of Herbert Parkenstacker
From O. Henry's "While the Auto Waits" Author(s):
James M. Salem
Poor Herbert Parkenstacker tries to persuade a rich young girl, bored by wealth and luxuries, to marry him. We discover, in typical O. Henry fashion, that actually she is a poor waitress and he is a millionaire. It takes skillful persuading and several false starts before Mazie can convince Herbert she is willing to become his wife and suffer a life of endless parties, travel and expensive gifts.
