"Sweet Maggie Blues" is a three-female play set in 1934 on the Gulf coast of Texas. Gov. Miriam ("Ma" Ferguson), Bonnie Parker (of Bonnie and Clyde fame), and Amy Turner Kellam, a beauty queen and Southern Belle meet by accident on a deserted beach. Historically, the date is the day Bonnie Parker died. However, as guns change hands, women argue, and the Texas Rangers close in, the lives of these three women turn out quite differently from historical record.
