Lover's Leap
Author(s):
Tom Gillespie
Janet is at the top of Lovers' Leap on a moonlit night contemplating jumping. Her actions are interrupted by an array of zany characters including an eager newspaper reporter looking for a big story, a squeamish mugger who suggests that she remember him in her will, two ancient joggers who decide to let her "do her own thing" and a prophet of doom proclaiming the end of the world. No one cares to try to stop her until Dick arrives to show her that life can be beautiful if two "invisible" people will only notice each other. (This play may include dialogue and/or subject matter that is too mature for cast and audience.)
