The Phoenix Dimension
Author(s):
Kent R. Brown
Justin, an unimaginative middle-manager, is director of the Phoenix Dimension. He is doggedly loyal to this project, but younger employees are smart, carnivorous. They want power and money. They want Justin's job. On the eve of a crucial meeting to determine the destiny of the project, a disturbing, seductive telephone call comes from an unidentified woman. With little sleep and uncontrollable anxiety about his future, Justin ruins the morning's presentation. His world collapses as the Phoenix Dimension is reassigned to an aggressive female employee. Then comes another call from the woman. The proposal: kill her unfaithful husband—who happens to be Justin's boss!—and share the sweet taste of revenge. Against a backdrop of Osound bites" fashioned from America's obsession with sensationalism, and mesmerized by the woman's compelling sensuality, Justin agrees to commit the murder—in full view of all the corporate players! Bare stage w/props.
