The cast usually plays more than one character in this, and although the set looks simplistic, it can be somewhat costly. The other costs come from the period costumes and certain props - such as the diamond ring and gun. If you stick to props that look like a gun, rather than a real gun, costs can be cut immensely. Lighting is easy if you have at least two people working it, and the sound effects needed are simple as well if at least one person (not invloved in any other aspect of the show) is in charge of sound.
