Great play by a playwright not yet given the fame he deserves. His talent for his calling in life began early, and many of his early efforts were produced at his high school; a few years later, he and friend developed a sort of "guerilla film" technique, driving up to streetcorners, churches and alleys in Hollywood, jumping out to shoot scenes and leave quickly before the police could arrive and check for permits. (Much of this rare, early work depicts a talented actress named Perry MacNeil, now the resident blogger at www.mommapolitico.blogspot.com, political commentary being the mainstay of her work.) The writer/director, Michael Sargent, is well-thought of and fondly remembered by those in his early works, and he would be welcome to get in touch with many of them through the actress mentioned above. Unique, revolutionary, unabashedly above the fray, Sargent continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the theatre world.
